Blog on hold for now

First, I'd like to wish everyone a happy, healthy and profitable new year.

I started this blog a month ago with the intention of creating an online trading community. It takes some time and effort to keep up with it and, while a few of you have been active participants, it's just not generating the kind of interaction I had hoped for. Therefore, for now, I'm going to put this blog on hold and devote that time to the other blogs I belong to.

Please feel free to keep in touch and good luck to you all!

Brett

Don't know if you check here, but I wanted to thank you outside of Jeff's Blog. I pay attention to everything you say, and I have clearly benefited from your posts. You have influenced both my trading style and my confidence for the better, as evident by my better trades and better discipline.

Thanks for all your posts, humor and anaylsis...you make trading a better experience, at least for me.

Regards, Bob Raimo

Brett,

I have been debating with myself for so long whether to write. I respect what you have done with trading and how much help and support you have given to everyone on Jeff's blog, me especially. I have learned so much from your candid explanations. I did not want to bother you or step over any lines but something inside me said to write so here I am.

I am a pediatrician by training. But since my second child was born and I finished residency I have bee at home raising my children. My first experience at anything related to trading was two years ago when I attended the Investools workshop. I knew this was something I was meant to do from the beginning. I love this and have pretty much done this full time since then although the last 9 months has been the most intense.

I understand many of the concepts well and can recite the text book answers for many of the concepts but somehow am not able to put it all together. I make individual trades which are great but my account as a whole does not move. How do you put it all together? I see the ideas of entering at my exit and can follow that but with options it is very hard for me to control the losses because by the end of the day the position may have moved to the point of where the 1-2 % rule is violated. Do you remember a turning point in your trading a time where it all seemed to come together and the fog cleared? I will do whatever it takes to accomplish my goal but I find myself a little lost right now. Have you been there? IF so how did you get out? It is my goal to trade for a living and become one of the best traders in the world. Form what I have seen on the site and the way you approach trading that you are well on your way. Would you please be willing to help me get moving in the right direction again?

Even simple things like how do you figure out how much you need to have to trade with to realistically start trading for a living are types of questions I have?

Brett, I know how much time trading can take and the huge emotional commitment it takes also. I would just really appreciate any help or insights you have.

Thanks for all that you have shared,
